A space defined by history, reimagined for modern celebration.

Long before it became Mavris Arts & Event Center, the building stood as a symbol of industry and growth in downtown Indianapolis.

renovations begin In 1999

The building entered a new chapter as renovations carefully brought the space back to life while preserving its character. Over the course of more than a decade, modern elements were introduced with intention, never overshadowing the original craftsmanship. Today, the exposed brick, rich hardwood floors, and timber beams remain, offering a sense of authenticity that cannot be replicated.

Constructed in 1883

This four-story brick structure was originally positioned along the winding railroad tracks, serving as a vital hub for the import of grocery goods throughout central Indiana. In the years that followed, it evolved into a plumbing warehouse, quietly holding decades of stories within its walls.

More than a century later, a thoughtful transformation began.
