We are excited to re-introduce our Executive Chef Everardo Hernandez. Chef Everardo brings a wealth of experience to our team, having worked at 5-star hotels, and restaurants to well-known catering facilities for over 25 years. He is a culinary genius with a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes.
He has a strong understanding of different cuisines and cooking techniques. His talent in the industry started at a young age from working at his family bakery business and butcher shop.
Everardo is a creative and driven chef who is always looking for new ways to improve his talent.
He is also a team player and is passionate about helping others succeed. Throughout his time here, he has proven to be a valuable asset to our Mavris team and continues to provide the best culinary experience to our guests.

What is your favorite part of working here at Mavris?
The kitchen! It gives me the opportunity to be creative and bring more ideas to the table. I also enjoy working with our Mavris Front of House staff and Sales Managers.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Magazines and websites like Bon Appetite, Food Network, and Food & Wine. I’m also inspired by professionals like Guy Fieri.
Tell me about your career before Mavris.
I was a Sous Chef at the Embassy Suites, and worked at the Hyatt as a Chef Tournant, then became their Executive Sous Chef.
What chef competitions have you competed in? Any awards?
I competed in the Taste of Elegance competition in 2020. I also won the Wine Pairing Award in Best in the Show Competition in 2020!
What is your favorite thing to cook lately?
I am getting familiar with North and South Indian cuisine, which involves using different spices for different regions.
What are some fun facts about you?
I enjoy the outdoors, especially the forest! I’m a big Indianapolis Colts fan.
What is your favorite part of a wedding?
I love being part of something that couple will never forget.
What is your favorite part of a corporate event?
Celebrating successes of the employees attending.
